My friends read a lot, and they all have strong opinions about Kristen. Some love her. Others hate her. A few months ago, I was the only one that hadn’t read her.
It was tough. Some of my friends warned me to stay away from her. Others were certain that I would love her work. I don’t think they realized that they were both pushing me in the same direction.
Any author that attracts such strong emotions, positive or negative, deserves my attention. Having finally dipped my toes into her bibliography, I can see where some of the naysayers are coming from. Kristen’s characters are not always likable.
Nonetheless, she has made a fan out of me. Though, I have chosen to keep my newfound love for the author a secret. I want to keep my friends guessing.
