I started following Julia Chapman when I read an interview in which she claimed that her writing career began when she started doodling in her diary at the age of five. Her words stayed with me because, as an aspiring author, I also began by writing in my diary. Though, I was in my teens at the time.
I have followed her relatively short career closely, mostly because I want to see what I can learn from her. I don’t think I can match her beautiful writing style. She has a way of immersing you in her locations and getting you swept up in the quirks and relationships of her characters.
