Judith McNaught is the oldest author I read. Her age put me off at the start. The woman was born in the 1940s. Authors from that generation are normally out of touch with modern sensibilities.
And let’s be honest. She basically proved me right with Something Wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an uglier cover. Fortunately, I don’t judge books by their covers. Something Wonderful was incredible. It consumed all my weekends because I couldn’t stop reading McNaught’s amazing words.
A Kingdom of Dreams has not disappointed thus far. Like most people, I wanted to hate Royce. McNaught did such a great job of writing him. Now I adore him.
