Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon (James Thomas Fallon) was born on September 19th, 1974 and is currently 50 years old. Jimmy Fallon was born in New York City, New York, USA. Fallon attended the College of Saint Rose where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Jimmy Fallon is a celebrated American author, talk show host, and comedian who is best known as the host of Saturday Night Live (SNL). He became known for his infectious energy and became particularly popular through memorable characters and celebrity impressions.

He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1998 and starred on it until 2004. He was also the co-host of Weekend Update alongside Tina Fey, and together they made the SNL program popular as they blended current events with comedy.

When he left Saturday Night Live in 2004, he began working as an actor and starred in Fever Pitch and Taxi among several other films. While he was not very successful as an author, he occasionally landed roles and even played himself in the movies Time for Christmas and Spirited.

Jimmy Fallon would then find fame in late-night TV when he took over Late Night from Conan O’Brien. He soon garnered much critical acclaim for his quirky sketches, celebrity impressions, and musical talent.

In 2014, he started hosting The Tonight Show after Jay Leno left. With Lorne Michaels, the executive producer, Fallon brought a humorous and fresh energy to the late-night show.

Outside of TV, Fallon made appearances on shows such as Only Murders in the Building and 30 Rock. In 2025, he was cast in a limited-run production on Broadway titled All In: Comedy About Love.

In 1999, Jimmy Fallon published I Hate This Place, a work that provides a witty take on self-help literature through embracing cynicism and pessimism.

The book comes with translations of common phrases, personal reflections, and daily affirmations that the authors deliver with a cynical twist. Originally inspired by email exchanges between Fallon and his sister, it captures their shared comedic sensibility and offers a collection of their dark humor and observations of the world.

Jimmy Fallon has also published several children's fiction works, and one of the most popular of these is Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA.

It is a board book aimed at toddlers and infants, which portrays various animal fathers who are trying to teach their kids to say their first word - Dada. The work was inspired by Fallon’s efforts to make his daughter say Dada first, using playful attempts such as calling various objects Dada.
