In 1995, Jeremy teamed up with Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton, and Mark Gatiss to form the comedy group
The League of Gentlemen. It performed dark, surreal comedy on film, stage, TV, and radio, which won many awards, including a BAFTA.
Besides the comedy group, Dyson was the creator of
Funland, the 2005 series, in addition to editing and writing for
The Armstrong Miller Show. He is also the director and creator of
Psychobitches and contributed to several other popular programs on BBC as a script editor.
He was the director of the 2002 short horror film
The Cicerones in addition to working with Andy Nyman in directing and writing the play
Ghost Stories. The latter aired in 2010, breaking box office records and being performed in the
West End for 5 years after its debut.
The adaptation to film of
Ghost Stories received much praise from critics, including a rating of
Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. In 2019, it was once again revived and staged in the United Kingdom.
