Jenson Button

Jenson Button (Jenson Alexander Lyons Button) was born on January 19th, 1980 and is currently 46 years old. Jenson Button was born in Frome, Somerset, England. Button attended Frome Community College.

Jenson Button is a British racing driver, who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Jota. From 2000 until 2017, he competed in Formula One, and won the World Drivers’ Championship in 2009 with Brawn, and won 15 Grand Prix across 18 seasons.

Jenson raced a BMX bike with his friends after school, and started watching Formula motor racing with his dad when he was 5 or 6 years old. He idolized Alain Prost for his intellectual approach to driving and calm personality.

Jenson started karting when he was eight years old, achieving early success, before he progressed to car racing in the British Formula Ford Championship and the British Formula 3 Championship. He first drove F1 with Williams for the 2000 season. The next year, he switched to Benetton, which beginning with the 2002 season, became the Renault team, then for the 2003 season he moved to BAR.

He finished in 3rd place for the 2004 World Drivers’ Championship, before he fell to 9th place for the 2005 championship. BAR was renamed and was the Honda team during the 2006 season, during which Jenson won his first Grand Prix at the Hungarian Grand Prix, after racing in 113 races.

Jenson Button: Life to the Limit: My Autobiography is an in-depth and full length autobiography from one of Britain’s best ever racing drivers.

Jenson’s 17 years in Formula One have seen him experience everything that the sport has to offer, from nursing duff cars around the track to winning world championships and everything else in between. Here, he tells his story for the very first time in his own intelligent, honest, and eloquent style, from growing up in a motor-racing-made family under his dad’s guidance, to arriving at Williams as a fresh faced 20 year old getting written off as a playboy that was distracted by the luxurious trappings of the lifestyle, and his fight for back to the pinnacle of the sport.

His world championship victory for the unfancied and unsponsored Brawn GP team is one of the most extraordinary against-the-odds sports stories of the century. He lifts up the lid on the often hidden and gilded world of Formula One. He reveals his relationships with a few of the largest names in the sport.

Above all, he puts readers into the cockpit, in the driver’s seat, traveling at more than 200 miles an hour, showing you what happens when all of it goes wrong at a high speed and letting you experience the euphoria of crossing the line first.
