Are they still adapting the Culture series? My google search has provided conflicting information. If they are, I don’t know how to feel. On the one hand, I did not like Apple’s Foundation TV show. The frequent time jumps did not work. I couldn’t get invested in any of the characters.

On the other hand, I think Apple captured the spirit of Asimov’s work. At the very least, the production values did not disappoint. In that regard, I expect Hollywood to get the look right.

But I don’t know if the story can work in TV format. I suppose it would be better than a movie, so long as they give it 16+ episodes per season and multiple seasons.

I think they should just leave it alone. But if they have to adapt it, companies like Apple and Amazon have the resources to make it work.
