After they moved to the United States when she was 18 years old, she got her bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She later went to the University of California, Irvine, where she got her Master of Fine Arts in acting.
Grace moved to New York City, where she performed Off-Broadway, including in Rent
and Venus Flytrap: A Femme Noir Mystery. In 2013, she performed in Chicago productions of
Tartuffe and
The Misanthrope.
She made her big screen debut in
Bent in 2017, when she was cast as a jazz singer and lounge owner named Kate.
Grace starred on
The Gifted, a Fox superhero series, as Reeva Payge. In 2022, she starred in a horror comedy called
The Blackening.
Grace got engaged to Trai Byers, a costar on
Empire, in 2015. They married on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands in 2016, and their son was born in 2023.
