He was the son of a world-renowned Marine biologist Professor Theodore Thomson Flynn. Murder at Monte Carlo. Errol moved to the US in 1934 and found roles in several small films before he starred in
Captain Blood. The film would become a massive hit that made him one of the most recognizable stars of his era.
Over the years, Flynn became notorious for his swashbuckling movie roles and his hedonistic lifestyle. His onscreen charisma and good looks won him legions of fans all over the world. He was a known womanizer and had a penchant for brawling, drugs, and alcohol which significantly shortened his career that he was done by the early 1950s.
