Revisiting ‘Famous Five’ has been an eye-opening experience. These books hold up. Now, obviously, I can’t say that objectively. I vividly remember watching ‘Famous Five’ during my pre-teens and loving the adventures.
So you could argue that my current opinions are tied to those warm and fuzzy memories. But I can’t help it. I love these books. I’m planning to buy the entire series.
I got the eBooks, but then I felt this strong desire to get the physical copies. I want to hold the novels in my hands. I want to feel the texture under my fingers, to smell them. It sounds odd, but I think there’s a reader out there who understands what I’m talking about.
