Christopher Pike: TV/Movies Based on Books

The Midnight Club was adapted into a a series for Netflix by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong. The series was designed to go for many years with the first season mostly based on the first novel, The Midnight Club. The idea for the show is to feature all of Pike's books with the stories that the kids tell each other actually being the stories from the other books in the series. The idea is for the show to run for multiple seasons.

The series was reviewed well upon its release and even set a Guiness World Record. The first episode of the series featured the most "scripted jump-scares in a single episode of television" with 21 jump-scares in total.

Spooksville is another long-running series of horror books and this one was also turned into a television series for the Hub Network. The show aired for one season consisting of twenty-two episodes.



Fall into Darkness was adapted into a made for TV movie in 1996 for NBC. The movie starred Tatyana M. Ali as Sharon McKay, Charlotte Ross as Ann Price, and Jonathan Brandis as Chad Lear.
