We need a proper adaptation of the Mortal Instruments. The 2013 adaptation did nothing for me. Well, that isn’t true. It got me to read the book. I couldn’t understand why my friends kept hailing Cassandra Clare as the best thing since sliced bread when the adaptation was so average.

Then I read City of Bones and LOVED it. Clare took me in an iron grip and refused to let me go. Now I am waiting for Hollywood to give this franchise another shot. I know they made a TV show, and it was decent. But it wasn’t enough. I want Hollywood to throw all the money at this franchise. It deserves as much attention and investment as Twilight, if not more.

I fell in love with Cassandra Clare after watching the Shadowhunters TV show but the show doesn’t do the books justice! There is so much more they could do with this world… think Buffy / Supernatural! Wishful thinking I know… especially after the TV show was axed.

The books are so well written and really draw you in and make you fall in love with the characters. I’m slowly making my way through all of her books and loving how she expands the world with new stories and characters.
