Cara Hunter is the crime fiction author I’ve spent my entire life looking for. People always talk about gripping novels that are incredibly difficult to put down. But I don’t think I have ever felt genuinely gripped by crime fiction until I discovered Adam Fawley.
I appreciate detailed slower-paced novels. But Cara proves that you can tell a fast-paced story that is still compelling. Her mysteries are complex without being convoluted.
You understand who the characters are, why they did what they did and how they did it. I appreciate that level of believability. Cara has never left me scratching my head because I couldn’t figure out how a particular crime had been done. She deserves all the love she gets.
