Candice Fox has a talent for creating intriguing antiheroes. Admittedly, some people will disagree with the ‘Antihero’ classification. But they can’t ignore the fact that Fox’s protagonists have a dark streak. She doesn’t care for conventional pairings.
I knew I had discovered something special when I started reading Archer and Bennet. But I wasn’t genuinely obsessed with Fox until she released the first Crimson Lake novel.
The notion of two convicted murderers working together to solve crimes was so intriguing that I bought Crimson Lake the moment I read the synopsis. The series did not disappoint. Hollywood should turn the novels into a TV show. The concept is brilliant.
