Brenda Novak is among the few romance authors I admire. She has written a long list of books to keep her fans entertained. The Deep Silence was an intense, intriguing, emotional read and an excellent start for the Still water series. In Snow Baby novel, I loved Channel and Dillon’s love story, and the book also came with sorrow, love, drama. The story was so beautiful and inspiring, especially for couples. Still Water Trilogy was my favorite series, and I also found the Dundee and Idaho series fascinating. Brenda creates terrific and exciting characters and develops them so well, and one can’t help but love them.
I saw a review that classified Brenda’s books as General Fiction, and it made me realize that I don’t know how to categorize her stories. I guess ‘General Fiction’ fits.
Her novels are all over the place. I have consumed several feel-good stories from Brenda that I really liked. She doesn’t force her characters to make stupid decisions for the sake of creating conflict, which I appreciate.
But I have also come across several Brenda Novak books with elements of mystery and suspense, which is why I don’t know how to classify her. Then again, maybe the ‘General Fiction’ label was created to categorize books that don’t fall into a specific genre. In that regard, I suppose I agree with the ‘General Fiction’ classification.
I really enjoy Brenda Novak’s books. Especially since she lives about 100 miles from me! I like the mysteries especially!
Great book. A bit of romance (ok a lot of romance) and a little mystery! Great plot!
