Brandon Easton

Brandon Easton was born in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Easton attended Ithaca College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Boston University College of Communication where he received a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting and City University of New York where he received a Masters in Secondary Social Studies Education.

Brandon Easton is a screenwriter, writer, and educator based in Los Angeles. He's primarily known for his work on the Warner Bros. Animation reboot of the ThunderCats series, along with his critically acclaimed work in the comic book industry.

In 1997, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Ithaca College, his Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from Boston University College of Communication in 2001, and his Master's in Secondary Social Studies Education from the City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College in New York in 2005.

Brandon often credits the time he spent at Ithaca College as a major transformative moment in his life, saying that it gave birth to his sociological perspectives and writing voice.

He regularly speaks and writes on issues of race in the comic book industry, and his work has been published in numerous articles discussing racial barriers faced by writers of color. Brandon's also a mentor to new comic book writers, and he hosts a regular panel called "The Writer's Journey," where he discusses the secrets to breaking into show business with his colleagues.

Brandon's received three GLYPH awards. He received a 2015 Disney-ABC Writing Program, a one-year program that is considered to be one of the most successful writer programs in the entertainment industry.
