My interest in Ann Rule was always tied to my interest in Ted Bundy. I couldn’t have cared less about the serial killer. But then I read Ann’s book, and it introduced Bundy to me in a way I found incredibly compelling.

Ann’s bibliography reminds me of all those shows on TV that chronicle real-life crimes from the past. She has a knack for digging into the brain of deranged individuals and presenting them in a light that makes them almost relatable

In her books, criminals look a lot like human beings instead of the monsters most of us imagine. It is a refreshing approach.

Ann Rule is a real crime author and has a unique ability to depict the criminals and victims so that they seem believable. I just began reading her novels about five months ago, and I can boldly confess that she is one of the fantastic writers on my list.
In the Stranger Beside Me, Rule had one of the unique views of a killer that I’ve read about in other similar novels. It’s a gripping crime story that kept me up late in the night while flipping pages.
I enjoyed the thrilling journey of the life of serial killer Ted Bundy showing how being a killer’s friend isn’t one of the easiest things.
